A LITTLE ABOUT ME

I’m an Adler trained coach,  and I'm certified by the International Coach Federation.

I’ve worn many hats throughout my career, but coaching is the most fulfilling of everything I’ve done. I’ve found my life’s purpose!

My coaching process is founded on the belief that my clients are creative, resourceful and whole. I work with them to help unlock the answers that they already hold inside. I’ve had great success assisting even seasoned, senior executives as they find their stride at work, and in life.

Helping people make real change is incredibly meaningful for me. I believe that when people are fulfilled, they are kinder and happier, and that inherently makes the world a better place.

For me, Executive Coaching is the intersection of my corporate experience, and my passion for helping others.

MY PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Before coaching, I spent over ten years as a senior media executive. I led the start-up of Toronto radio station FLOW 93.5 FM, which I would later manage until its sale to CTV. At the outset, I did everything - from hiring the Program Director to creating a floor plan for the offices. I selected and worked with our advertising agency to create our launch advertising, and all our subsequent campaigns, including some award-winners. I managed a staff of over 50 until it was time to sell, when I led the sale of the station.

Prior to radio, I worked at a marketing consulting firm, on high profile corporate accounts; primarily on the Ford Motor Company account, typically in the US, but also in Canada, the UK, Europe, and other International markets. I left as a Vice President to launch FLOW 93.5.

MY MOTIVATION

Throughout my career, I’ve repeatedly observed how people can be frustrated by their co-workers, and how workplace politics can be soul-crushing.  I’ve seen how much workplace dissatisfaction comes from miscommunication and style differences. I found those work environments frustrating, and always wondered if there were a better way to be at work.

I truly believe that if we understand ourselves and what makes us tick, we can better understand the motivations of others, resulting in better communication with everyone around us. My personal mission is to help people be happier at work (and at home).

THE REST

I live in Toronto, Canada with my husband and our son. I have a B.A. in Economics from McGill University and an M.Sc. in Social Behaviour from the London School of Economics.

Volunteering has always been important to me. I’ve served on boards of non-profits and spent time tutoring youth in under-resourced neighbourhoods in an after-school program, among other endeavours.

I like to have some fun too, and once in a while, you may see me on stage doing improv, or on the slopes with my snowboard!
